Supernatural’s Alona Tal
Ok so here’s the game. Reblog this with the song your listening to now (or a random song from your library) and add in my pants after it.
“Live Like We’re Dying” In My Pants
“She’s Got a Boyfriend Now” In My Pants
rofl, i like this game :)“Semi-constructive Criticism” In My Pants
“Blasphemous Rumors” in my pants.
“Sweetest Air” in my pants. Wow.
It’s super-cool. And I will probably be doing most of my posting over there. So you wouldn’t want to miss anything!
Also, please spread the word about the new Tumblog. I’ve given up on this one and I’m trying DESPERATELY to get some readership! I’ve had 20 followers at Old School Reasons for the last seven months. I actually got a new one tonight, though! I had followed her and she politely returned the favor. Frighteningly enough, the first post of hers that popped up on my Dashboard was an internal diagram of the penis.
I don’t know how I feel about this. But I’ll roll with it.
All you people following me should follow the new one, because that will become my primary front on Tumblr. And I’d really love to have some help in spreading the word about this because I’m using it for practical writing practices (ie journalist/critic stuff). So it’d be cool to have a few followers. Also people can submit stuff to it, so that’s fun. Right? Right???
Anyways, check it out yo.
Thanks!
Kick started my new music/entertainment blog tonight with a weekly feature, Thursday Evening Throwdown. I rock a track from a band that is really lighting my fire this week. Then you go buy/download/check out said band and let them rock your face off all weekend long. It’s a good way to ring in a Friday. Please follow me and spread the word about the new site. Thanks!
i promised in a post yesterday that i would list 7 memories of my mother, since today is the 7th anniversary of her passing away. here is that list. at first it was difficult to put together a list of 7, but then it was hard to limit myself to only 7.
1. when i was a senior in high school my mom was sent to work in wayne, new jersey. i went to visit her for a couple weeks that spring and we did every typical new york tourist thing. broadway plays, statue of liberty, empire state building, yankee game, etc. it was an awesome trip overall. one day we decided to go to philadelphia for the day. i drove and my mom navigated. well somewhere along the way we made a wrong turn and ended up in delaware. by the time we got to philidelphia everything we wanted to see was closed. all we got to see was the liberty bell. also everyone there was a dick. so we left and drove back to new jersey. it was probably the most fun i had on the trip even though everything went wrong.
2. she said that she would only get a tattoo if the red wings won the stanley cup. when she said this, the wings were awful. i think she was kinda joking, but when they won in ‘97 we called her on it, and she stepped up and got a tattoo.
3. i used to love to make her laugh, and actually when i got a little older and i was going to get in trouble, we had a rule that i couldn’t get punished if i made her laugh. this is why i always make inappropriate jokes in times that aren’t funny. if i get drunk and throw up on your futon i’m going to make a joke about it. this stems from these times of always making her laugh when times weren’t good, or to get out of trouble.
4. when i was six or so i stole a pack of orange tic-tacs from the grocery store at the end of my street while shopping with my mom. she realized it half way home, and took me back to the store and made me give them back and explain myself. i have never shoplifted since.
5. when i was in pee-wee and bantam my mom coached my hockey team. that is really all that needs to be said about that.
6. i used to steal my mom’s cigarettes from about the age of 12 till i was 16, which is when i quit (for the first time). she never said anything about it until one day when she just offered me a cigarette when she could see i wanted one. she never offered me another one and never said anything about it again to me or anyone else.
7. we used to watch bobby’s world together all the time. i loved that show, and she loved that show. this is just one of the things that we both liked. other things include david bowie, beverly hills 90210, the movie tombstone, box wine, playing spider solitaire (we had a pretty heated rivalry), and writing on post-it notes. all of these things make me think of her still today.
I have a Tumblarity of 0.
Zero.
I didn’t even know it was possible.
Time to start a new one with some direction behind it, I believe.
Be on the look-out…
